You Are Not Alone
Stepping through the doors of the Invisible Wounds Project Support Center in Forest Lake, Minnesota, you recognize you’re in a special place. IWP's mission is to positively impact and enhance the lives and mental health of veterans, first responders, and their families.
They focus on helping the small percentage of those who answer the call to serve and do things that most will never see or do by providing wellness and social connection activities that help those who serve get out and reconnect with their peers.
The center opened in July 2024 and is like nothing else in the country, operating with a mission to serve more than 500 military, police, fire, EMS, frontline medical staff, corrections, 911 dispatch, and their families this next year (and substantially more in the years to come).
The center has 10,000 square feet of therapeutic and connection spaces designed to positively impact the lives of those who serve our country and communities. It also has a recreation lounge with activities like pool, darts, televisions, etc. The coffee bar provides a great space for sharing conversation, meals, and connections with others.
The space also has a state-of-the-art woodshop, art studio, laser room, and paint/epoxy room, all available for members to use, take classes, and provide a creative outlet to help deal with stress and trauma.
In their mission to support veterans and first responders (who are known to have a higher frequency of suicide, substance abuse, and other service-related health problems than the general public), the Invisible Wounds Project Support Center offers critical services to those who need support from an understanding community.
